Emu Run collect you from your Alice Springs accommodation at 7.45am.
Spectacular Outback Scenery and photo opportunities await you as we travel along the magnificent West MacDonnell Ranges, stopping at John Flynn’s memorial, and beautiful walks at: Simpsons Gap, Standley Chasm (morning tea), the Ochre Pits, and Ormiston Gorge for lunch and walk or swim. Next stop is Glen Helen, and on our way back we call into Ellery Creek Bighole (where we usually have afternoon tea). Ellery Creek Bighole is one of Central Australia’s most pristine waterholes, so don’t forget your swimmers in the warmer months!
As we drive back to Alice, you will see the Ranges “light up” in brilliant oranges and reds as we return into Alice at Sunset.
Emu Run collect you from your Alice Springs accommodation at 6am, then a light breakfast on board and a stop at Ebenezer Roadhouse and Aboriginal Art Display.
We arrive at Ayers Rock around midday and stop at the Visitors Centre (warmer months only). We have lunch and travel to the Olga’s. Back to Ayers Rock and visit the Aboriginal Cultural Centre. We do guided walks at Ayers Rock, or you may choose to climb (The order of this part of the itinerary may change between hotter and cooler months.)
A BBQ Champagne Dinner at Ayers Rock watching a magnificent Central Australian Sunset on Uluru is a highlight of this great day of touring.
We depart for Alice Springs after sunset, arriving back into town approx midnight in cooler months and 1.00am warmer months.

Alice Lodge Backpackers reserves the right to alter the itinerary of any of the tours and arrange alternative carriers to those advertised if necessary. No refunds will be given in these circumstances or in the event of any delay, curtailment or alteration of a trip resulting from any cause including severe weather conditions or mechanical failure.
A minimum number of passengers is required to operate each tour. It may therefore be necessary to cancel a scheduled departure and to offer an alternative or full refund for that tour. Alice Lodge backpackers can’t guarantee pick up or drop off times and are not liable for passenger failure to connect with other services. We accept no responsibility for loss or damage to personal belongings or baggage.
Alice Lodge Backpackers will charge the following fees in event of booking cancellations: Before 48 Hours -25% of Fare. 24 Hours – 48 Hours-50% of Fare. Within 24 Hours 100% of Fare.
There is a $1 per $100 credit card levy when processing bookings.

What To Bring
Dress in the Northern Territory is casual and comfortable. Winter nights (May to August) can be cold, so bring warm clothing. Days are sunny and warm. Remember to bring strong, non-slip walking shoes, hats, sunglasses, camera, water bottle & sunscreen.
